M. David Hornbuckle
M. David Hornbuckle lived in Gainesville from August 1994 until July 2001,
much of which he spent performing with PopCanon and other bands. At age 15, he
began playing guitar with local blues bands in Dothan, Alabama, and over the next
20 years, he composed and performed music in a variety of styles, including neo-classical,
avant-garde, country, folk, punk and pop.
Although this bio sort of makes it sound like he's dead, he isn't. David currently
lives in New York City, where he enjoys watching Jeopardy and reading books about
other books. He has written two short, so-far unpublished, novels, and he is working
on a third, which he hopes will be just as successful. He has also written many
short stories, a few of which have been published in small literary magazines.
He still performs music from time to time as well.
