In 1995, I was a Writer-in-Residence, Assistant Professor, at The University of Toledo. In 1992, I received a National Endowment for the Arts Grant in Literature (Poetry). I have been awarded State of Florida Arts Fellowships (Literature 1988-89 and Interdisciplinary Category 1994-95) and two Rockefeller and NEA supported regional re-grants for New Forms.

I am the author of seven books: The Kiss (Radio Room, Press), Sur les Pointes, The Ballerina and the Sea Anemone, (White Eagle Coffee Store Press), Italian Smoking Piece, (Helicon Nine Editions); Bride Thrashing through History and The H's: The Spasms of a Requiem (Bloody Twin Press); Only the Nude Can Redeem the Landscape (Apalachee Press) and The Cowrie Shell Piece (Flockophobic Press Ltd.). I won the 1994 Columbia Magazine Fiction competition for "Rachel's Recovery" and the 1995 White Eagle Coffee Store Press A. E. Coppard Prize for Long Fiction.
